DON’T ASSUME

Lately, I’ve been facing a serious issue with assumptions.

I assume something won’t happen—then it does!

I assume someone knows—turns out they don’t.

I assume they want it—turns out they don’t.

People assume I don’t exist in their world—yet, I do.

They assume I won’t give—yet, I’m eager to.

Everything shifts moment by moment—circumstances, preferences, perceptions…

That’s why, even when I feel certain about something, I remind myself to pause, reassess, and ask again.
