IT’S HAPPENING, BELIEVE ME

I don’t focus on what I am not, I focus on what I am.
I had written this sentence down during a workshop last year.
It’s something I’ve struggled with—not focusing on what I lack, but on what I already am.
For so long, I saw life as a battle, always about overcoming difficulties, creating what wasn’t there. And in the process, I took what was already good and working for granted—until it faded into the background.
Breaking and changing habits takes time and effort. Our minds tend to cling to what they know, moving toward familiar patterns. And because these actions happen automatically, they’re easy to overlook. That’s why it takes real effort and awareness to change them.
One of my biggest struggles? Consistency.
To build a habit, I need repetition, structure, and discipline. And I’ve realized I need to add self-compassion to that list.
Because without it, when I stumble—when I get impatient, when I don’t reach my goal as fast as I want—I become harsh, frustrated, even self-critical. If you’re like me in that way, then yes, this can be even tougher.
But is it hopeless? Absolutely not.
There is always hope.
Another crucial thing? Letting go of comparison.
We’re all on our own unique journey.
Some things may come easily and quickly, while others take longer.
And when you see others leaping past what you’re struggling with, you have to train yourself not to compare.
Because there are also things I can change easily, things I leap past without effort.
So, does it happen in the end?
Yes, it does.
Some days I jump forward.
Some days I crawl.
Some days I wait and breathe.
But it happens.
And if I can do it, that means it’s possible.
The first step? Bringing awareness to your habits.Recognizing what serves you and what doesn’t.
That’s why my personal morning ritual includes at least 10 minutes of meditation.
It helps me regain focus and move through my day with awareness.
I’ve been using guided meditations for a long time, and they work well for me.
Find what works for you.Make space for a morning ritual that nourishes you.
Believe me—it will help. 💙
