REWRITING THE JOURNAL

I want to start the new week with a clean slate. I want the words I write to be fresh, forming new sentences without carrying anger or regret from the past. I don't want resentment in my life. Let the first lines of this new journal contain the words "peace" and "reconciliation." But first, one must make peace with oneself and the past.
To move forward without blame, we must learn not to blame—even ourselves. A new week, a clean journal. If there are pages in the old one that need rewriting, then clean them up. Don't let them carry stains of resentment. Reread the stories that begin with “because of you” and take another look—without judgment. Is it really the way you thought?
