WHAT IF TODAY WAS YOUR DAY?

Sometimes, you need to pause and check in with yourself. Do you give yourself the same care you give to others? The patience you show when listening to the same story for the 128th time, do you show that same patience to your own learning, your own trial and error, your own falls and recoveries?

The effort you put into choosing the perfect gift for someone else, do you put the same effort into getting something for yourself? The time, energy, and silence you sacrifice to make "them" happy—do you ever use those resources for your own needs? The things you spend on the ones who aren’t you but feel like a part of you—do you ever spend them on the "you" who gets lost in the process?

Can you free yourself from seeking approval from those you’ve placed on a pedestal and finally validate your own existence, your own skills, your own talents?

If you have left yourself behind and put others in your place, know this: Their happiness, their desires, and their needs will never be satisfied. No matter how much you give, it will never be enough. And let me remind you—fulfillment doesn’t come from the outside in, but from the inside out. Even those who take from you will never be satisfied because they’re feeding off something external.

Remember yourself. There was a time when you had your own needs, your own desires. Maybe your parents didn’t know how to prioritize them, so you learned that “I must not be that important. My needs must not be that much of a priority.” And little by little, you left yourself behind—until you became nothing but a shadow.

But today, do yourself a favor.

If it were just you, what would make you happy today? If it were just you, what would make you laugh? If it were just you, what would you need? What would you give up? And what would you finally take for yourself?

Let today be a "YOU" day.

Let today be a "ME" day.

We have Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Cat Day, Valentine’s Day, Forest Conservation Day, Journalist Day, Pharmacist Day, Farmer’s Day…

But why not today be “ME” Day?

A day to listen to my own needs.

A day to pay attention to myself.

A day to respect and prioritize myself.

A day to be patient with myself.

A day to be gentle with myself.

A day to love and approve of myself.

Should it be? Yes, it should.

Why?

Because you say so.
