WRITE ON THE BLANK PAGE

Sometimes you say, "I want love."
And then, from deep inside, a voice screams back—
"No, no! Remember your past experiences? Remember what happened?"
And there is freedom too, right?
Something so precious, non-negotiable.
Something you refuse to trade for anything.
One day, I wrote:
✦ Loneliness = Freedom
✦ Taking off and leaving = Freedom
✦ Choosing to walk away if I want = Freedom
But here’s the thing.
Writing on water is not the same as writing on stone.
And then there’s the fogged-up glass of my childhood home,
Where, in the cold winters, I used to write messages with my fingertips.
Those words?
They melted away.
And standing there,
watching them fade,I whispered to myself—
"Nothing is carved into stone, my friend."
Let things dissolve, fade, disappear.
Let what no longer serves you turn into mist and flow away.
Take the past out of your future’s path.
Put it back where it belongs.
Now, before you—
A blank, untouched page.
Write something new.
✦ Loving is freedom.
✦ Being loved is freedom.
✦ Expressing yourself is freedom.
✦ Trying, despite fear, is freedom.
✦ Never giving up on dreams is freedom.
Once, someone asked me:
"At the end of this journey, what do you want to be able to do?"
I answered:
"I want to write the book of freedom."
Big words.
I always make big statements.
And yet, I walk timidly, cautiously, slowly—
Like a turtle.
But you know what?
I like myself like this.
And maybe, just maybe, that’s what matters most.
Why not?
